Keybed Action Support
Tired of setting up a table in the client’s home (or improvising with the piano lid) to do certain regulation steps? Tired of repeatedly carrying the action back and forth from the piano to that table, or of supporting the front rail with your knees while voicing? This tool is the answer. It mounts to the underside of grand piano keybeds to support the action for such jobs as hammer filing, wippen and backcheck alignment, repetition springs, rep. lever height, jack position, voicing, etc.

This tool is an ideal companion to our Grand Let-off Jig, shown in use above. With this Action Support an entire regulation (except for damper adjustments) can be done without ever removing the action from the piano.

The support attaches with a single large T-knob screw (included). Just drill a 1/4" hole in the underside of the keybed, using a bit in your combination handle. Most Kawai and Yamaha pianos already have this hole, but it may need to be enlarged.

The Action Support is made of anodized aluminum square tubing, trimmed with plastic end caps to eliminate sharp edges.
It fits virtually all grand pianos. The support folds in half for compact storage as shown at right, held together with the T-knob screw.
