Takagi Japanese Saws
Utilizing Japan’s 1000-year-old concept of cutting on the pull, rather than the push stroke, these saws are an absolute delight to use. Because they cut on the pull stroke, the blades are under tension while cutting, so binding and buckling are eliminated. This allows a much thinner blade to be used, in turn reducing the volume of wood removed in each cut compared to conventional saws. This, together with their unique and very sharp tooth design, provides exceptional cutting speed, control, and accuracy, and greatly reduced effort. If you have ever felt clumsy and unskilled when using a hand saw, try one of these pull-stroke saws. We promise you will be amazed!

The saw blades are made of chrome-finished, rust-proof high quality steel. The teeth are individually diamond honed, then electric impulse-hardened for long wear. Each tooth actually has three cutting edges. Blades remove in seconds for replacement or compact storage just by pressing a release button on the handle.

Fine-Cut Handsaws
2410 & 2420 saws

#10-2410 (top)

#10-2420 (bottom)
 #10-2410: 16" overall, 10 5/8" blade, 19 pt., .014" kerf. Replacement blade: #01-2410
The very thin kerf blade is ideal for trimming grand shanks after hanging hammers. Just clamp a section of shanks together, lay the blade flat against the hammer tails below the shanks, and saw upward. An entire section of shanks can be trimmed flush to the tails in just a minute or two. A joy to use whenever accurate, smooth cuts are required, this saw easily handles hardwoods up to 2" thick.
Price: $28.00; repl. blade: $20.00

#10-2420: 16" overall, 10 5/8" blade, 15 pt., .028" kerf. Replacement blade: #01-2420
Similar to the #2410 but with a thicker blade and slightly larger teeth. The stiffer blade is useful where binding might occur and for heavier duty use.
