Once you get your software, you'll need one of our stands to support your pocket PC on the piano while tuning. This stand holds the PC securely, slips easily on or off, and works equally well on verticals or grands. Fits any brand of pocket PC except phone/PC combinations
For grands, just slip the tuning tip over a tuning pin, as shown at top right. You can then face it any direction, easily adjust the tilt for best viewing angle, and rotate the PC to horizontal when running in full screen mode. Or, swing the tuning tip back and the stand will sit like a tripod on the plate or strings. Another option is our new Plate Mount accessory, which clamps to any plate strut.
The same options work equally well on vertical pianos. Swing the tuning tip back as shown at right and the stand will sit on the lid, pin block, or other horizontal surface. Most convenient and secure is to mount the stand on vertical piano tuning pins, where it can be faced right or left, and tilted up or down.

Made of high density polyethylene, the stand weights just under 4 oz. (112 gm). Requires a standard thread tuning tip (not included. Most techs have an extra, or we can provide one for an additional $7.00).

Four stand models available:
We supply the PC Stand with your choice of two PC holding systems: the "Clips" type shown at left and in the pictures above, and the Velcro type shown below left.
The Clips type is available in three sizes:
Small: for HP 1700/1900/4000 series, HP 111, HP rx3115, rx3417, rx1715, rx1950, series
Medium: for HP 2200 series
Large: for Compaq 3600 thru 3900 series, HP h4350, h5150, h5550, HP hx2100, hx2400, hx2700, hx4700, hx5915, HP 211, all Dell Axim, and Toshiba e755
The clips stands hold the bare pocket PC, which simply slips into the plastic clips.
If you typically use an expansion sleeve (expansion sleeves are accessory jackets for the Compaq iPAQ that hold an additional battery or memory card slot) or have a PC with an optional high capacity battery which bulges out in back making the unit thicker than standard, you will need the Velcro type stand. The Velcro mount includes a corresponding piece of self-adhesive Velcro that you attach to your PC or sleeve. You can then stick the PC/sleeve unit to the stand easily and securely for tuning, or pull it loose for other uses. NOTE: On some PCs the rear (battery) cover latch is not strong enough to withstand the pull of the Velcro.
Either style stand can be converted to the other. Just order the "Velcro" or "Clips" conversion kit (see order form).

Plate Mount for grands
Often you'd like to have the PC just a bit higher and farther away than on a grand tuning pin. This accessory is the answer. Just pop it onto a plate strut, and slip the tuning tip of your PC Stand into the hole. The PC can then be rotated any direction with just a touch. Rubber buttons and a non-marring screw tip hold it securely to most struts. The Plate Mount is especially convenient when tuning the bass and tenor.
Note: To use this accessory, your stand must have the star tuning tip mount, NOT the one-piece plastic tuning pin socket supplied with very early versions of the stand. To upgrade older stands, just order the Tuning Tip Mount upgrade kit
Plate Mount Price: $ 28.00
